For restoration companies & adjusters

Your contents packout crew on the Wasatch Front

Peak & Haul works as a packout subcontractor for Utah restoration firms. You keep the mitigation and the rebuild — we handle inventory, pack, transport, storage and pack-back, with the documentation your adjuster expects.

Who we work with

  • Restoration and mitigation contractors who need a contents crew without carrying one on payroll
  • Independent and staff adjusters who need a documented packout on a contents claim
  • Property managers and landlords handling a loss across multiple units
  • General contractors who need a structure emptied before demo or rebuild

The inventory process

Contents claims get argued over documentation. Ours is built so your file is defensible from the first photo to the pack-back sign-off.

  1. 01

Scope walk & pre-existing damage photos

We walk the loss with your project manager, photograph every room before anything moves, and flag pre-existing damage in writing so it never becomes a claim dispute later.

  2. 02

    Room-by-room written inventory

Every item is logged by room with quantity, condition and photos. Boxes are numbered and tied back to the inventory sheet, so a homeowner asking for one specific item gets an answer in minutes.

  3. 03

    Pack, wrap & load

Electronics, art, glass and high-value items get individual wrapping. Furniture is padded and shrink-wrapped. Non-salvageable contents are separated, documented and disposed of on your direction.

  4. 04

    Transport & storage

Contents move palletized and labeled by room into clean, dry, secured storage and stay under the same inventory the whole time.

  5. 05

    Pack-back

On completion we return items to the room they came from, unwrap and reset furniture, and walk the homeowner through the inventory for sign-off.

Storage

Contents stay palletized, shrink-wrapped and labeled by room in clean, dry, secured storage for the length of the dry-out and rebuild.

  • • Billed monthly on the claim, itemized separately from labor
  • • Same inventory numbers from packout through pack-back
  • • Partial releases when a homeowner needs specific items early
  • • Non-salvageable items documented before disposal

Insurance & paperwork

Everything you need to add us as a subcontractor, before we touch a job site.

  • Certificate of insurance issued directly to your company, additional-insured wording on request
  • Utah LLC in good standing — entity number on every invoice
  • Signed inventory sheet and photo set delivered with the packout
  • Itemized invoicing built for claim submission: labor hours, materials, crating, transport, monthly storage
  • W-9 and subcontractor agreement returned same day so you can onboard us before the first job
