Terms of Service

The ground rules for using this site and hiring Peak & Haul. Your signed work order controls if anything conflicts.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

1. Agreement

By using this website or hiring Peak & Haul LLC you accept these terms. If you sign a work order, estimate, or storage agreement with us, that document controls wherever it differs from this page.

2. Estimates and pricing

Prices shown on this site are starting ranges for the Wasatch Front, not quotes. A binding price requires an on-site or photo walkthrough. Estimates are valid 30 days. Access problems, hazardous or prohibited material, added volume, stairs, long carries, and after-hours work can change the price; we tell you before we do the extra work.

3. Scheduling and access

You are responsible for legal authority to have the items removed, packed, or demolished, and for providing safe access, parking, and utilities. Arrival windows are estimates — weather, traffic, and emergency packouts can shift them.

4. Items we will not take

We do not haul hazardous waste, fuel, solvents, wet paint, asbestos-containing material, medical or biohazard waste, ammunition, or explosives. Remove cash, jewelry, medication, firearms, and irreplaceable documents before we arrive. Anything left in an item you give us is considered abandoned.

5. Packouts and contents storage

Packouts are inventoried and photographed. Storage is billed monthly in advance and starts the day contents arrive. Accounts more than 60 days past due may result in a lien and disposal of stored contents as allowed by Utah law after written notice. Release of contents requires the balance to be paid in full unless your carrier is paying us direct.

6. Light demolition

We perform non-structural interior demolition only — no load-bearing walls, no structural engineering, no utility disconnection. Permits and any required engineering, asbestos, or lead testing are the property owner's responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.

7. Insurance claims

We can bill your carrier direct when the carrier approves it, but you remain responsible for the balance if the claim is denied, underpaid, or your deductible applies. We do not adjust claims or promise any coverage outcome.

8. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless we agreed to carrier billing or written terms. Balances past 30 days may carry 1.5% monthly interest, and you cover reasonable collection and attorney fees.

9. Cancellation

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours out at no charge. Same-day cancellations or lockouts after the crew arrives may be billed a trip fee.

10. Liability

We are licensed and insured and we stand behind damage our crew causes — report it within 72 hours of completion so we can inspect. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, normal wear at contact points, damage from items you packed yourself, or indirect and consequential losses. Except for damage caused by our negligence, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the job.

11. Reviews and uploads

By posting a review or photo you confirm it is truthful, yours to share, and free of other people's private information, and you give us permission to display it. We may remove content that is false, abusive, or unlawful.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Utah law, with venue in Salt Lake County, Utah.
